Honfleur Museums

Eugene Boudin Museum

The museum, founded in 1868, opened its doors in 1869. It was housed in the town hall until 1924 when it was transferred to the chapel of the Augustinian convent where it is still located today.

Navy Museum

The Maritime Museum, in its current form, dates from 1976 and 2002. Designed by Pierre Orange, then curator, it was remodeled in 2002 keeping the spirit of its creation. A redeployment of the collections made it possible to group them by theme in a historical context.

Ethnography Museum

Museum of Ethnography and Popular Art, the first provincial ethnography museum with the Arlaten Museum in Arles, founded in 1896 by the Société du Vieux-Honfleur.

Satie Houses

Opened in 1998, the Maisons Satie invite you to discover through an audio-guided scenographic tour the universe of the composer and pianist Erik Satie, born here on May 17, 1866. Avant-garde for his time, Erik Satie himself said- even that he was "born very young in a very old time."

Shore to landing

The landing of June 6, 1944 on the beaches of Normandy is the largest amphibious and airborne operation of all time.

Even today, millions of people come to meditate on the Landing Beaches and thus pay homage to the soldiers who liberated France.

Come and visit these places full of emotions.

Etretat

Nature carved unusual shapes into the white cliffs of Etretat and as a result this picturesque location attracted many impressionist painters, who sought to capture the cliffs on canvas.

The pretty seaside town of Etretat is also the setting for Maurice Leblanc's popular French children's book about Arsène Lupin, the gentleman burglar.

Two other reasons to visit Étretat are its fantastic 18-hole golf course on one cliff and its gardens on the other, both of which offer stunning views of the cliffs and town.
